A strong response was given by political party representatives to the explosion caused by a bomb attack against a group of 300 people in Amara Cultural Centre in Suruc.

Politicians carry on with their responses against the bomb attack in Suruc today at 12.15

HUDA PAR’s leader Zekeriya Yapicioglu made a statement regarding the bomb attack stating, “Regardless of who and why, I condemn the bomb attack in Suruc. I convey our sincerest condolences to the families of those who died in the attack and wish those injured get well soon. This attack should be enlightened and measures should be taken to prevent a repetition of similar attacks.”

HUDA PAR’s deputy leader M. Huseyin Yilmaz also shared a statement on his official twitter account stating, “I condemn the bomb attack against civilians in Suruc and I send my condolences to their families. I also hope that the injured people get well soon.” Yilmaz also added that those who are injured in Suruc are in need of blood transfusion and it is a humanitarian duty to give blood.

The old president Abdullah Gul also made a speech in the airport on his return from Eid visits in Kayseri, “It is a very sad incident. We obviously don’t know the truth behind this but he it will reveal soon. I send my condolences to their families and hope a quick recovery to those injured in the attack.”

Deputy Prime Minister Yalcin Akdogan also made a speech after the attack in Suruc stating, “I send my condolences to those who passed away in the attack and wish a speedy recovery to those injured. As a government we will work to disappoint those responsible for the attack. This terrorism attack against Turkey’s unification, peace and tranquillity will not reach their aims.”

AK Party’s speaker also made a speech, “This is a cruel attack organised against Turkey and we see it like this. The government is acting rapidly and three ministers are sent to Suruc. Ministry of Internal Affairs has also sent the technical team to the city. A crisis management centre has also been set up and we are working very hard. As AK Party we are chasing up every single progress in this case.”

HDP’s party leader Selahattin Demirtas also spoke some words of condolences to the families of those killed in the attack. He also stated that, “Whoever committed the attack, the temporary government is the one liable.”

“The cruel attack in Suruc has broken our hearts. It is impossible to explain the feeling of losing young people. I curse terrorists and those sustaining them”, said CHP’s leader Kemal Kilicdaroglu.

CHP’s General Secretary Gursel Tekin made a statement remarking that CHPS’s deputy leader Sezgin Tanrikulu and her team of 10 people are also in Suruc examining the attack.

It has also been reported that Selahattin Demirtas and Figen Yuksekdag will be holding a Central Board meeting at 9am tomorrow to discuss the incident in Suruc. (ILKHA)
